Short-day strawberry cultivar, which was released in 1993 by University of California.

Camarosa is the most widely planted cultivar world wide, with high yield and early, mid and late season production. Plants are adapted to low chill at planting. Also they are moderately susceptible to xanthomonas and powdery mildew.

Fruits are of excellent quality, large, firm, conical or flat-conical shape with excellent brilliant red external and internal color, and with excellent shelf life. Tastes very sweet and juicy.

The qualities of this variety make it ideal in handling, shipping and in market flexibility.
